Hi, hey, hello!
I cannot stress enough how proud I am of the Marching Eagles this year. I feel somewhat like a broken record, but the truth of the matter is that this was our most successful season while I've been with Civic Memorial High School. I'm happy to see the results of hard work and determination and I'm thrilled to see where we keep going because I see us going nowhere but up.
Again, thank you to all parents and guardians who help in any way with marching season. Be it from donating your time, energy, or money, it all helps. The Marching Eagles need you! If you weren't involved this year, but would like to be next year, please be on the lookout for some informational emails or meeting. We would LOVE to have you!
Our staff is definitely one in a million. To have them consistently at rehearsals and performances is a joy because not all bands have that! Please thank them when you get a chance!
Now, onto some information...
Those auditioning for ILMEA - call time is at 8am tomorrow with the bus leaving at 8:15am. Dress in nice clothes, no jean or cargo shorts. Dress for success!
Butter Braid Fundraiser
I've received MANY questions about whether or not we will be selling butter braids this year and the answer is YES! This fundraiser will begin on Tuesday, but here is an online store link you can start sending out today!
TMS Band and Choir Fall Concert
The Trimpe Band and Choir have their first concert of the year THIS THURSDAY starting at 7pm. I offer extra credit to any high school band/color guard student who can help set up the gym for this concert. Call time is 5:30pm in the main gym and please wear your polo. I take pictures for attendance so be aware of what is going on around you. This is a great opportunity for the middle school students to meet the high school students!
BOA Field Trip
I have THREE student tickets available if there are any students who would like to attend! The cost of the ticket is $18. First come, first served!
For those attending, we will meet at CM at 5pm and the bus will leave at 5:30pm. I'll have to pick up tickets at will call when we get there, so for those driving separately, we will meet you at the entrance to the stadium.
For adults, I have assigned students to you for chaperone purposes. You can find those groups HERE. These are not subject to change.
Optional Movie Night
Due to a conflict in the auditorium, we will have to move our optional team bonding movie night from Monday, Oct. 14 to Monday, Oct. 28. This is completely optional, but it is a fun time! Typically, students bring blankets and pillows, we clear out the center chairs of the auditorium and we watch a movie together. It's a good time! :)
