We have started preparing for our Winter Showcase performance held on Sunday, Mar. 1 at 2pm. Amidst all this, we do have pep band games. Please make sure you see below for the schedule and are updated on ALL dates! Communication is a MUST if you have a conflict. Pep Band As a reminder, pep band is a graded performance for band students. Please click HERE for an updated list of pep band games. SIUE Bi-State Congratulations to the following students who were nominated and selected for the SIUE Bi-State Honor Band Festival on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 17 and 18. We will leave after school on Friday, audition, eat dinner, rehearse, return Friday night, then meet at SIUE Saturday morning. The concerts are on Saturday evening. It is held on Saturday, March 7 at Alton High School. Students will perform a solo or small ensemble piece that they prepare themselves in front of a judge and receive a rating. It is not a competition between musicians; it is a competition with yourself! I will be asking during class this week who is interested in signing up for Solo & Ensemble. McKendree University Instrument Development Nights McKendree University is holding FREE instrument nights during this semester. While the event is free, you will have to register.
