Hi, hey, hello!
Words cannot express my feelings for this past weekend's results. This group has put in a ton of work to achieve walking off the field proud of themselves, but validation in a competition's scores also helps to put that pride at the forefront of our minds! I hope that over the next two weeks, in the countdown to the end of the marching band season, that we continue to put our best foot forward and that we don't let any sort of excuse weigh us down. That being said, as always, remember to thank the people that help us to be successful: 1. The Parents! 2. The Staff! 3. The Administration of CMHS (without their support, we wouldn't be able to go on any competitions, or have a show to perform!) 4. Each Other! (you all show up to rehearsals together, work together, sweat together! We perform our show together!) Weekly Goals This week, our goal is to continue cleaning up drill - finding our lines, even and equal step size, creating forms that are readable from the stands. Our second goal is to find our ensemble sound ALWAYS. Are you standing out from the ensemble or are you part of the ensemble? Are you contributing to the ensemble sound? Be at the high school by 7:45am and bring your instrument, all accessories, as well as money for concessions (food!). It is a get yourself there event, but if you cannot find a ride, please let me know because I will be going as well. ILMEA District Auditions - Auditions for ILMEA are next Monday.
